French luxury house Louis Vuitton kicks off the promotion for the 2011 edition of their latest editions of the Louis Vuitton City Guide.
Since 1998, Louis Vuitton has been giving their views on fashion, design, the arts and gastronomy. Each guide highlights the latest trends and offers unique advice.
Design and packaging of these chic guides was inspired by the Louis Vuitton vintage luggage label found on their holiday trunks. The guides are dark brown to reflect LV’s signature style with pops of bright colors like Pistachio Green, Rosewood and Magenta.
Inside you’ll not only find the best address book for your selected city, but also easy to read maps and helpful illustrations.
The 2011 European Edition Box Set will be released on October 15, 2010 and will feature seven new cities including Oxford and Porto Cervo. The Louis Vuitton guide will be available exclusively at Louis Vuitton stores and website.

French luxury goods giant LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton has announced plans to inaugurate a new World Series of sailing, beginning with a regatta in Nice in November. The event, to be known as the Louis Vuitton World Series, will be undertaken in association with a new professional sailing group called the World Sailing Team Association (WSTA). Eight racing teams, including K-Challenge (France), BMW Oracle Racing (USA), Emirates Team New Zealand, Mascalzone Latino (Italy), Team Artemis (Sweden), Team Synergy (Russia), Joe Fly Italia (Italy) and Team French Spirit (France) will compete for starters, with others expected to sign up shortly.
Vuitton has a long association with world class sailing dating back to its 25-year sponsorship of the Louis Vuitton Cup, the famed race running up to the America’s Cup, and more recently the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series organized in Auckland, New Zealand, last February. LV World Series teams will fight successive duels over a fortnight on two pairs of identical boats chosen by lot in an effort to return to the original spirit of “match racing.” The ultimate winner of the series of international regattas will take possession of what is bound to become one of the sports most coveted and prestigious trophies.

Last month, Louis Vuitton opened the largest boutique in Southeast Asia at Singapore’s luxurious ION Orchard in Orchard Road.
The 905 square meter concept store was designed by Front Inc. of New York while the interiors were developed by the Louis Vuitton Malletier’s architecture team.
The duplex store showcases the luxury brand’s first curved glass facade, inspired by the “folds of a scarf”.

French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH is best known for its marquee properties Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Fendi but the company has also collected the world’s most amazing collection of first class wine and spirits brands under its Moët Hennessy group. The incomparable portfolio is celebrated in a suitably lavish new book called Distinctive Vintages ($200 at Amazon.com) published by Flammarion.
The book focuses on the collection of fine French wines and spirits, personified in three regions that are “as noble as they are prestigious”: Cognac, the ancestral birthplace of Hennessy; Champagne, home Dom Pérignon and its confreres; and Bordeaux, graced by the magical Chateau d’Yquem. It offers both a practical guide to the three regions as well as an explanation of the different vintages and results produced by the famed houses.
Moët Hennessy owns too many luxury brands to list, but to name a few: Hennessy Cognac; Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Krug, Dom Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot champagnes; Belvedere and Chopin vodkas; Glenmorangie single malt Scotch whiskey; and Chateau d’Yquem wine. Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Pucci, Kenzo and Marc Jacobs fashion houses.
