The Sotheby’s Wine store is located on the first floor of its New York headquarters in Manhattan’s Upper Eastside has what Sotheby’s head of wines in the Americas and Asia Jamie Ritchie described as “a rather broad selection of wines” at prices ranging from $13.95 to $40,000 a bottle.
“Our selection includes the best producers,” Ritchie said, “but also our favorite wines that may be less well known.” So not far from the bottle of Lafite Rothschild (1996) for $1,350, a customer can find a bottle of Chateau Franc Couplet (2005) for $13.95.
Sotheby’s, which will be hosting it’s wine auctions this week in London and New York and four more next month in Hong Kong, is also offering the wines online and will ship them around the world and home delivery to it’s Manhattan customers.
