Review: Rockwell, VT… The Best of New England in Los Angeles.

Everyone keeps saying, “there’s nothing like it on this side of town!” Rockwell continues to prove as the most stunning bar/lounge/restaurant on the east side. Formally named Rockwell, VT. is hidden in the alley located behind its adjoining restaurant, Vermont. Adorned by woodsy decor and the whisper of New England, this two-story fortress surrounds a majestic coral tree reaching up to the sky.

The lower level includes an ornate indoor bar and an open-air patio with plentiful seating. Up the staircase, one encounters a more intimate standing-room-only bar area accompanied by additional seating, private booths and a covered VIP section available for bottle service. Aside from an intoxicating customized drink menu, Stephane Beaucamp has brought us his French flair by inventing a mouth-watering fusion cuisine. The flat bread is a must-try!

One will find mild boogieing going on here. Rockwell enjoys live DJs every Friday and Saturday night (and Sunday morning brunch), spinning a variety of groovy house music, remixes, classics and disco. The vibe is eclectic with a blend of Hollywood socialites, Los Feliz locals, gays from West Hollywood, hipsters from Silverlake, and happening people all around. This gem is frequented weekly by regulars and growing in popularity by the second. Come now and “live deliberately” at Rockwell.
