Ralph Lauren Opens First ‘Rugby’ International store in Tokyo.
Ralph Lauren’s ‘Rugby’ brand is going global with it’s first international store which opened in Tokyo. The company’s 4,300-square-foot store occupies a large corner of the sprawling Ralph Lauren flagship store on Omotesando Ave. The Rugby store features mosaic floors and wood interiors.
Rugby, which is lower in price than Ralph Lauren’s other brands (Rugby’s prices are more in line with the ‘Polo’ brand), was created to compete with clothing brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and American Eagle.
Rugby is only one of two brand that Ralph Lauren does not wholesale to retailers, the other being RRL.
