Ralph Lauren Debuts His Rhinelander Mansion On Madison Avenue Into A Men’s Flagship showcase.
The Rhinelander Mansion at Madison Avenue and East Fifty Seventh Street has been known as the “Polo Mansion” to the loyal faithful of Ralph Lauren for over twenty years. This week Mr. Lauren gave the press a sneak-peek at the newly renovated third and fourth floors of the mansion. The first and seconds floors will be given a makeover, but remain open during the stores overhaul.
The “Polo Mansion”, the companies flagship store that once housed men’s, women’s and home collections, is about to become a men’s-only store for all of Ralph Lauren’s collections (excluding Lauren by Ralph Lauren and Ralph by Ralph Lauren) with 27,000 square-feet over four floors.
The Fourth floor houses the Black Label and RLX Collections, as well as Polo Golf and Polo Tennis. The Third floor houses the Classic Polo and Double RL. Mr. Lauren has mixed in some product from his limited edition ‘Polo Country Store’ line. The Second floor when completed will house the Purple Label Collection, while the First Level will feature dress shirts, neckwear, furnishings (watches, eyewear) and fragrances.
